Matthew Greeley Rivas (b. Brooklyn, 1988) is a Brooklyn-based artist working in film and video.

A fifth-generation New Yorker and the son of a Nicaraguan immigrant, his work reflects a deep engagement with NYC’s layered history and the cultural intersections that shape it. He earned a BFA in Film and Video from CalArts in 2010 and has engaged film and video projects for over a decade. He sharpened his editing skills at the fashion branding agency Starworks Group before becoming a Video Producer and Editor at Condé Nast. Known for crafting bold, high-energy “sizzle” or spirit films, Matthew has traveled globally producing branded content for Bon Appétit, Condé Nast Traveler, and others. In 2020, he founded RAZOR SOFT, a full-service production company whose provocative, Clio Award–winning campaigns have made a mark in advertising.

In 2022, Matthew completed two years of training in the acting technique of Sanford Meisner at the globally recognized William Esper Studio. This experience expanded his understanding of character development and script writing and primed him to begin writing his narrative debut. Greeley’s work focuses on explorations of New York history, urban life, family dynamics and legacy.
